KBS has released a brand new drama “어서와” or “Meow, the Secret Boy” starring with a famous idol-actor from a well known group INFINITE’s L or Kim Myung Soo and actress Shin Ye Eun.

“Meow, the Secret Boy,” is based on the 2009 Naver webtoon of the same name as the Korean title, 어서와, by Goo A Ra and is a fantasy romantic comedy about a cat who transforms into a man to heal the pain of her owner. Kim Myung Soo who takes the role of the cat named Hong Jo, who starts living a precarious double life as both a man and a cat who doesn't even know why he has changed into a human. Alongside him is Shin Ye Eun, playing Kim Sol Ah, is a puppy-like human girl aspiring webtoon artist who has a love-hate relationship with cats and somehow has to take care of Hong Jo for distances herself from people after experiencing rejection and heartache.

According from Soompi, there's a source from the drama said, “We think there’s no one who can play Hong Jo, the first character of its kind, other than Kim Myung Soo (L). He proved this during the first script reading. Please look forward to the transformation of Kim Myung Soo and the great acting to come.”

Besides, Kim Myung Soo himself is known as a cat person and he actually has a cat named Byeol. He loves posting photos of Byeol on Instagram. During his Come With Me fanmeeting in Manila, Myung Soo jokingly said that he has been "observing" Byeol as inspiration for his role in Meow, The Secret Boy.

Other actors including Seo Ji Hoon, Yoon Ye Ju, Kang Hoon, and others will also be taking a part in this drama.

In “Meow, the Secret Boy”, we spoiled by the cuteness of adorable white cat Hong Jo. Also when he turns into human, we can see a cute behavior of Hong Jo who tries to behave like a real human. “Meow, the Secret Boy” will also give the viewers special impression by showing the story through a pet’s perspective. Viewers are showed the complex feelings that Hong Jo felt about being sent to another person, being abandoned, and the agony of finding a way to return who can tug a viewers' heartstrings.

“Meow, the Secret Boy” has aired its first episode on March 25 at 10 p.m. KST and will continue to air every Wednesday and Thursday at 10 p.m. The drama will be available on Viki and Viu with english subtitle, so a non-korean speaker can also watch it as well.
